In this episode of the Everyday Creativity podcast we discussed how Naomi has evolved their art practice as they creatively channels their energy whilst facing different creative constraints. They discuss lived experience of mental health and chronic invisible illnesses pre and during the Covid-19 pandemic lockdowns in the UK frankly. They talk about how the power of making images in their close surroundings links to their creative podcasting and current return to writing more.
We talked about the importance of supportive creative peer to peer networks and communities to help find the creativity and confidence to try different mediums and formats. How being in these safer circles of trust can help the push and pull of sharing creative work on social media, taking breaks from social media and the everyday creative inspiration of documenting your own life in whatever methods you feel light you up.
