How Founders can thrive with creative coaching approaches for wellbeing + drive >>>

Introduction - Being a Founder starts with a dream, but over time, the reality of the day-to-day becomes higher stakes and more prone to burnout. And that sucks…

When starting and scaling a business, it’s as much about adding value and having a key solution to solve a problem as it is about being strategic and focused. The list seems to go on and on.

More vital to keep your own and the venture’s signs of life growing towards the light are those more intangible elements to the Founder’s inner world…

  • Resilience

  • Creativity

  • Leadership

It’s long been the mission at Open To Create… to make creative leadership coaching more than a luxury but one that embeds coaching as a leadership style tools and habits into everyday Founder, team and business practices.

It’s vital for the health of the Founders that we coach them to benefit from the entrepreneurial mindset coaching so they have the head space to keep coming up with innovative strategies to tackle the sticky problems alongside mental health alignment. Founder burnout is no fun and leads to ventures that really could make a massive dent in our world, folding before they have a chance to shine.

By helping Founders and their teams to build their business day to day and strategic modes of operation underpinned by coaching tools and techniques Founders find ways to stay feeling better in themselves, lead with more passion and purpose without having to sacrifice their health or vision.

During Autumn 2025, Anna B. Sexton was matched as a coach for Ryan Bell, Founder of Tech Balance, as part of the first DOHE ESCA Global Ed Tech Start Up Coaching Prize Award. The global coaching programme underpinned our mission to support game-changing Founders focusing on their inner world as much as the outer drive to change their niche sector with less stress, fatigue and the often resulting decrease in motivation to keep up with team building, networking and the sales cycle…

Anna created a bespoke coaching programme for Ryan to match his high-performance goals with a blended approach of sustainable growth strategies to create more impact whilst balancing out more personalised networking and sales approaches. Using the DOHE entrepreneurial taxonomy framework to track progress underpinned the process. By the end of the 8-weeks Ryan and his team secured new contracts to offer mental health support in a UK higher and further education setting, alongside a US private college… high performance successes indeed!

“Anna was my startup coach for an intensive 10-week acceleration programme. She went above and beyond my expectations, providing critical feedback on sales activities, sharing resources and opportunities, introducing me to key connections in Higher Ed, and much more. I've had many challenges to contend with: stuck in the 'pain cave' of getting a sale over the line for the past 12 months, losing the majority of our team, and starting to lose hope. Anna has helped me regain confidence in my startup and my abilities and make huge progress in such a short amount of time. We now have not 1 but 2 sales in the UK & US! The team is looking stronger and more aligned as a result, and we have new-found hope and excitement for 2025. Thank you Anna!”
